Location
We are located on the Dingle Peninsula in South West Kerry in a small village called Ballinloughig. Our stables are situated beneath Mount Brandon, and are just off the famous Slea Head drive and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Located approximately 5km from Dingle town centre, in the heart of a very peaceful and stunning valley, yet with close by amenities, excellent guesthouses , B&Bs, fantastic restaurants and of course great pubs!
Mount Brandon and the Com Valley
Mount Brandon is the second largest mountain in Ireland, rising to 925Mtrs/2775Ft. It is named after the Patron Saint of Kerry who was St Brendan the Navigator. The legend says that he climbed to the summit to see America, before setting sail for it. Mount Brandon has a craggy appearance and is made up of an arrangement of corrie lakes, impressive cliff faces and glaciated landscape. Situated just at the top of our road is the entrance to one of the most impressive features to the mountain range, the Com Valley. An unspoiled glacial valley with unique and magical scenery, the ‘Com’ is almost a hidden treasure.
